to just purchase all the parts (boards and backlights) together, so I did. Replacing the power supply board did not fix my issue, and so I systematically replaced the main and T-connector. No joy. After some forum digging, it was noted to me that some power supplies have current protection to detect bad LEDs which can be checked with a slo-mo camera in a dark room at power up. Likely one bank of LEDs will flash briefly and dimly (faster than I could see with the naked eye in daylight) at power up. In my opinion, this should be added as a step in the video guide. At that point following the YouTube guide was straight forward and replacing my backlights got me running again! One snag was that the new main board from ShopJimmy was apparently flashed with firmware from a different model (43 inch) tv and at power up it got stuck in an update loop which I could never get past. I’m sure there would be a way to do a firmware flash with USB to get it working, but I just reverted to my old main board and now everything is good. I’m pretty stoked to learn that I can repair flat screen tvs in general and keep this one out of the landfill while saving myself some cash. Thanks! Read Less

Screen would flicker once and shut off, but the TV was still on and able to be controlled. Bought this kit to replace power supply and potentially the back light. The instructional video could have done a better job of demonstrating removal of the panel ribbon cables, but it was enough to aid in a successful repair.

Before purchasing anything I contacted ShopJimmy and asked about mainboard differences because a number of different ones were listed as compatible. I was told they would all work, that they're just different. However, different is not good when it removes features!
