What is a DLP lamp?

A DLP lamp is a really bright bulb designed to output intense white light, which gets focused into the light engine in a DLP TV and then projected to the mirrors/lenses and to the TV screen.

Which symptoms does a DLP lamp fix in a TV?

•  If your TV won’t turn on, then the DLP lamp/bulb could be bad.

•  If one of the status LEDs on the front of your TV is flashing, then the DLP lamp/bulbcould be bad.

*These are helpful tips to get you started and don’t represent accurate diagnoses for every TV model and failure. If you’re unsure of your diagnosis, we recommend checking out our YouTube channel or reaching out to a local TV technician for assistance.

How easy is it to replace a DLP lamp?

It's easy! Once you match the part number on your DLP lamp/bulb with the part number listed on this page to confirm compatibility, you’ll just need a screwdriver and the ability to remove the back of your TV and replace the lamp/bulb.
