The buttons or keys on the front, side or back of your TV are attached to the key controller board. The purpose of this part is to send an electronic signal from the button you press to the main board.
• If you press a button on your TV and it doesn’t do anything, your key controller could be bad. This is assuming there aren’t any physical defects with the button(s) you’re pressing.
*These are helpful tips to get you started and don’t represent accurate diagnoses for every TV model and failure. If you’re unsure of your diagnosis, we recommend checking out our YouTube channel or reaching out to a local TV technician for assistance.
It's easy! Once you match the part number on your key controller with the part number listed on this page to confirm compatibility, you’ll just need a screwdriver and the ability to remove the back of your TV and replace the board.
